Depending on the number of subjects involved in the artwork, the illustration could be ready in a range of 3 to 15 working days, featuring 1 to 5 subjects.

Generally, I illustrate pets, sometimes their owners, any kind of animals, or even surrealistic illustrations.

The materials I use the most for black and white illustrations are pencils, graphite and charcoal. For my color illustrations I usually use polychrome colors, though occasionally I explore the pastel technique for certain pieces.

The image sent should be in high quality, in daylight and taken as close as possible to the subject in order to make the artwork. This point is the most important because it is my main reference for the realism of your illustration. It is not possible to work with low quality, poorly illuminated or enlarged photos as this impairs the image quality.

I have been working with Serpost for a few years now, they are a private company that takes care of my international shipments. The cost of these shipments depends on the weight, the shipping method you choose (express or regular certified shipping), and the destination.

It mainly depends on the weight of the package.

Small to medium size illustrations are approximately 0.5 to 1kg while medium to large size is between 2 to 3kg. There are two shipping methods: regular certified shipping with a delivery time of 25 to 30 working days and express shipping with a delivery time of 10 to 14 working days.

For certified mail shipments from small to medium size it costs between $26 USD to $47 USD. Express mail ranges between $44 USD to $55 USD approximately.

For certified mail shipments from medium to large size, it costs between $70 USD to $85 USD. Express mail ranges between $70 USD to $128 USD.

International shipments are shipped in sealed and insured tubular packaging so that your artwork arrives in perfect condition.

If you are in Lima, Peru, the framing service can be done at an additional cost. Regarding international shipments, it is usual to send the illustration in a tubular package so that the framing can be done at its final destination. I recommend this way to avoid any damage during shipment, as well as reducing shipping cost. 

When this happens, individual photos can be combined into a single format. In order to create this composition, I will need different photos from each subjects and I will choose the best option from each one. Before starting the illustration, I’ll send you a sketch for your approval.

Generally, I need 3 to 5 months, taking into account that I start the illustrations in order of priority, once the confirmation is made with 50% payment in advance.

Where you choose to exhibit your work is an important point to consider. I always recommend that you avoid any location that may receive direct sunlight and areas such as bathrooms and kitchens where temperature and humidity are more likely to fluctuate.

To help your artwork last as long as possible, I recommend that you frame it with glass that filters out ultraviolet light. Your local framers should be able to advise you on this.
